o Receives shift instructions and drawer from room receptionist and reviews Front Desk Log.
o Counts and verifies bills and coins in drawer.
o Generates current house status and pre-registration report.
o Checks in guests, establishes credit and assigns rooms according to standard operating procedures.
o Verifies guest history information, issues guest room key, and answers guest inquires.
o Answers switchboard, relaying calls and recording messages.
o Checks out guests, finalize folio, collects payment and obtains guest room key.
o Resolves customer complaints, recording specific complaint information.
o Performs all night audit functions and prepares night audit reports. For instance, updates credit card, advance deposit and tax exempt logs.
o Maintains and cleans immediate work area.
o Balances drawer at end of shift and obtains approval to clock out.
o Records significant shift information into Front Desk Log.
o Maintains compliance with company policies, practices, procedures, and safety standards.
o Inspects all conference rooms and common areas each day to ensure security standards are met.
o Reports in a proper uniform, which is cleaned and pressed.
o Performs wake-up calls at designated times.
o Ensures that no guests are exceeding the house limit. If so, he/she is to inform the General Manger.
o Washes, dries and folds laundry during shift according to the Laundry Attendant guidelines.
o Mops the lobby and cleans the windows as needed.
o Other duties as assigned.
