Job Description

This employee is responsible for overseeing all clinical aspects of the assigned site of the practice, insuring quality patient care and the professional operation of the department.


Responsible for orientation and training of clinical staff for respective site, under the direction of the Regional Clinical Manager.

Giving direction to clinical staff, as needed, for efficient use of time and office needs. Handles clinical patient complaints as a first line of defense, as needed. Responsible for continuous positive morale of department. Works in conjunction with the local Office Manager to meet office needs. Instrument Maintenance. Phone & walk in triage.Directing Clinical flow during busy office hours. Maintaining clinical performance standards, locally. Monthly supply ordering. Implement MU projects per Clinical Manager. Timely completion and submission of incident/accident/exposure reports. Clinical orientation, orientation checklist & on-site training. Weekly clinical staff meetings or “huddles." Biopsy Log, Culture Log, MSDS and Operating Plan monitoring. Updating training manuals as instructed. Local Stericycle after hours patient calls through portal. Biannual inventory. Handling provider requests.


College Degree, or High School diploma with Medical Assistant or Surgical Tech certification a plus, or at least 2 years clinical experience in a Medical or Dermatology Practice
Supervisory experience preferred.
CPR Certification a plus if not required by licensure.
Knowledge and understanding of importance of documentation standards, medical necessity requirements, potential liability issues, etc
Superior customer service and phone skills.
Knowledge of and experience with EMA (EMR) or Athena (PM) systems, or other medical management software, as well as Word and Excel
Microsoft office proficiency.
Outlook/e-mail proficiency
Must be able to multi-task, and possess good organizational and communication skills
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to sit for long periods of time.
Ability to travel to other offices in dire situations.
