Job Description
• Perform payroll functions in an accurate and timely manner
• Create sales tax reports, file and pay in the timely manner.
• Conduct reconciliation of all accounts on an as needed basis
• Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner
• Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing payments
• Perform account receivable functions including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition
Prepare financial reports through collection, analysis, and summarization of data
• Provide accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information
• Generate 1099’s
• Monitor company’s assets
• Assists with budget preparations
• Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions and reconciling entries
• Assist in preparing profit and loss statement and balance sheet
• Assist accountants with tax preparations
• Comply with federal, state and local SAFS Rules (Statement of Financial Accounting Standards) by studying and enforcing adherence to policies and procedures; filing reports and advising management on needed actions
• Apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards
• Aid in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines
• Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
• Maintain organized and detailed filing system
Job Requirements
•Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•Experience with accounting software
•Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization
•Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation
•Highly detail-oriented
•Excellent computer and software skills
•Organizational skills and time management are imperative.
